Sr Cherubina Camilleri OSA, an Augustinian cloisterd nun died in Vallatta on 9th March 2009 at the venerable age of eighty six years. Born in Xaghra on 24th August 1922, she heeded the call of the Lord and joined the Order receiving her simple profession on 27 January 1946. Three years later she professed solemnly in the Order on 29th January 1949. Requiem Mass for the repose of her soul was celebrated in her place of birth, Xaghra, on Monday 23rd March 2009. The principal Celebrant was the Vicar General Mgr John Bosco Gauci. Co celebrants were Mgr Carmelo Hili, Can Anthony Refalo, Can Julian Refalo Rapa, Fr Saviour Sultana and Fr Jesmond Gauci. Relatives of Suor Cherubina read the Lessons and the Prayers of the Faithful, others made the offerings at Mass. Choristers with Ivan Attard on the Organ animated the singing, Ms Marion Portelli animated Mass.
