Before the year is out, normally on the last Sunday of the year, the Piccolo Clero of the Basilica sees new additions. This year the investiture of five boys as the new altar boys took place on Sunday 27th December. The boys were Bajada Daniel, Curmi Neil, Galea Savio, Rapa Joseph and Xerri Matthew. Archpriest Mgr Carmelo Refalo celebrated the Holy Eucharist and officiated at the investiture assisted by Deacon Anthony George Caruana. Seminarian Simon Cachia animated Mass while the Choir of the Altar Boys accompanied by Seminarian Mario Curmi animated the singing. Theparents ofDaniel Bajada read the Lessons.On behalf of their colleagues, the parents of Joseph Rapa read the promise that they would groom their sons in their new appointment. The other parents presented the offerings at Mass.
