After receiving the blessing of the Bishop, all those carrying pets and handling animals went in file past His Lordship who gave them each the bag of barley and the small loaf of St Anthony the Abbot. For over an hour they filed past the Bishop some even with babies. To each one of them the Bishop had a word of appreciation for their care of the animals.
