At 7.15 pm the National Manifestation 'Faith- Art - Culture' marking the Pauline Year was officially opened. This activity is being organised by the Cultural Committee within the Ministry for Gozo. The Chorus Urbanus under the baton of its Director Mro John Galea B.Mus (Hons)(Dunelm), FTCL, LRSM, gave a Choral Concert in the Church. After the Concert, speeches were made by the Zebbug Mayor Mr Charles Saliba, the Minister for Gozo the Hon Mrs Giovanna Debono and the Rector Can Michael Borg. In his speech, the Rector thanked amongst others the Hon. Minister, the Ministry for Gozo and the Local Councils of Zebbug and Xaghra for their help. It is to be noted that while Marsalforn falls under the authority of Zebbug Local Council, the area where the Church lies, falls under the jurisdiction of Xaghra Parish. Chev Joe M Attard compered the event. Finally a very interesting photographic exhibition in an annexe to the Church was opened. Colourful photos exhibited were by Joe Zammit and Joe Bajada. A very interesting section consists of old monochrome photos of Marsalforn with a handful of houses, all courtesy of Victor Attard who was raised in Marsalforn where his family had been living for long. Each of these three events that evening lived up to the name of the National Manifestation in the Pauline Year - Mass for Faith, Concert for Culture and Photography for Art.
