In the afternoon, the Chapter of the Collegiate Basilica of Xaghra sang Vespers starting at 4.00 pm. It is to be noted here that the new Rector, Canon Michael Borg is a member of the said Chapter, and the Church of Marsalforn falls under the jurisdiction of Xaghra Parish. Three Senior altar boys with Ivan Attard on the organ accompanied the Chapter in the singing. The congregation was led by Mayor Carmel Saliba of Zebbug and Mayor Joseph Cordina of Xaghra. Images C9 to D5 are photos of previous Rectors hanging in the Sacristy. The photo of the outgoing Rector Fr Mariano Zammit is not yet in place. The last three images show the state of the weather that afternoon with the raging storm.
