The festivities commemorating the Conversion of Saul of Tarsus, St Paul, came to an end with a befitting celebration - Eucharistic Celebration, Mass at 6.00 pm celebrated by H.L. Mgr Mario Grech, Bishop of Gozo. Concelebrants were several members of the Chapter and Clergy amongst whom were Archpriest Mgr Carmelo Refalo and Archpriest Emeritus of Xaghra Mgr Eucaristico Sultana. Assisitng the Bishop were two deacons from Xaghra, the Rev Richard Nazzareno Farrugia and the Rev Joseph Curmi. Joseph Xerri animated Mass while Choir and Orchestra under the direction of Mro Colin Attard and with the participation of Soprano Rita Dimech animated the singing. Leading the Congregation were the Mayors of Xaghra and Zebbug, Joseph Cordina and Carmel Saliba respectively, accompanied by their spouses. After Mass, the Rev Deacon Richard N Farrugia stood in front of the Altar holding the reliquary for the faithful present to kiss the relic of Saint Paul.
