A new Rector for the Church of St Paul in Marsalforn, limits of Xaghra Parish, a new approach in celebration of the feast of The Conversion of St Paul. In less than three months of his appointment, Canon Michael Borg of Xaghra managed to raise a varied and excellent programme – see full programme on Home Page - to celebrate the feast befitting the Pauline Year in the Maltese Islands, running from June 2008 to June 2009. And with his vast experience in celebrations gained during the many years as Parish Priest of St Lawrence this was expected of him. So said Mr Joe Borg of Melbourne posting his message in the guest book on this website ‘prosit tal-programm, dan stennejtu minnek’ ‘congratulations for the programme, I expected it from you’.  The third day of Triduum was made up of Eucharistic Celebration by Mgr Carmel Gauci, Archpriest of Gharb with Can Michael Borg, Rector of Marsalforn and Parish Priest Emeritus of St Lawrence Parish and Fr Joseph Cini, Parish Priest Emeritus of Ghasri. Can Joseph Sultana, Parrochial Vicar of the Cathedral Parish, delivered the homily as he did on the previous two days of Triduum. The singing was animated for the third day running by the Nativitas Choir of Victory Band of Xaghra directed by Silvana Agius accompanied by Ivan Attard, Assistant Director, on the organ.
