The feast of the Co Patron Saint of the parish was celebrated on Sunday 3 May, as usual on the first Sunday in May. H.L. Mgr Nicholas J Cauchi, Bishop Emeritus of Gozo was the principal celebrant at a concelebrated Solemn High Mass starting at 5.00 p.m. Also participating were the three Rev Deacons from Xaghra, Anthony Bajada, Joseph Curmi and Richard N Farrugia. Mr Joseph Refalo animated Mass. As appropriate on this day, an orchestra accompanied the Choir Maria Bambina, tenor andrew Sapiano and Baritone Pio Dalli, all under the baton of Mr Ronald Camilleri. Mgr Cauchi delivered the panegyric. Leading the congregation were the members of the three confraternities.
