On Saturday, all members of the fireworks Sub Committee gathered on the side of Nuffara Hill facing Xaghra to prepare the ground for the grand display of aerial fireworks to be let off on 7th September 2009, eve of the Festa. This display of fireworks synchronised to music is now considered by fireworks enthusiasts as the best to be seen on Gozo. At 8.30 p.m. thousands ensure they get a vantage point at the entry to Xaghra from 8th September Avenue or the road to Victoria below. The spectators are guaranteed an evening to be remembered.
