On Christmas Day, in the evening, male and female sections of the Society of Christian Doctrine (MUSEUM) in Xaghra joined scores of localities spread all over the islands in a manifestation with Baby Jesus, known as Il-Purcissjoni bil-Bambin (Procession With Baby Jesus). Procession left the MUSEUM premises of themale section in Triq Dun Gorg Preca and wound its way through other streets to the Basilica. Boys carried the statue and other children carried lanterns and placards with Christmas messages. The Victory Band accompanied the processionplaying Christmas Carols with children and thefaithful taking part. In the Basilica, packed with the faithful, a full programme was raised. Children sang Carols,read poems,took part in a play and young Gabriel Farrugia delivered the traditional Boy's Sermon. Messages were given by Superiors of both sections and Xaghra Archpriest Mgr Carmelo Refalo.Photos John Attard
