On Saturday 28 August 2010 the Novena of the Bambina started with Mgr Carmelo Refalo, Archpriest, celebrating the Holy Eucharist for children at 9.00 a.m. Children, many accompanied by their mothers,packed the Basilica and at 8.30 a.m. they meditatedLive Rosary under the guidance of the Rev. Deacon Simon Mario Cachia assisted by Seminarians. Before reading of the Gospel, children from the Nazzarenu Community gave a splendid re enactment of the Cana Wedding. They were well prepared for this by Sister Michela. The Deacon then gave a short meditation on what the children saw and heard in relation to the Gospel. The Guitar Group, leader Ms. Joanne Sultana, animated the singing.
