The pictures in this section show the Altars of Repose in the Basilica and four other churches either under the jurisdiction of the parish of Xaghra or within a short distance from Xaghra. These are theBasilica, Churches of St Anthony the Abbot, Jesus of Nazareth Church, St Paul's in Marsalforn and Ta' Hamet Church. The Altar of Repose in the Basilica carries the theme of the 1950th anniversary of the shipwreck of St Paul in Malta and the forthcoming visit of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to Malta. In picture A6 can be clearly seen the cap Pope Benedict XVI used to wear in the past.
