On 27th June 2012, three priests from Xaghra, Fr Anthony Attard, Fr Gerard Buhagiar (rector of Ta` Pinu National Shrine) and Fr Alex Refalo, and another priest from Xewkija, Fr Michael Xuereb celebrated the Silver Jubilee of their ordination to the priesthood. Celebrating Mass with them at Ta` Pinu Sanctuary was Fr George Camilleri S.J., Fr Buhagiar`s uncle, who was celebrating the Golden Jubilee of his joining the Society of Jesus. Among the congregation were relatives and friends of the priests. Other priests concelebrating with them included Mgr Eucharist Sultana, Archpriest Emeritus of Xaghra. Choir made up of choristers from Nativitas Choir of Xaghra sang during Mass with Mr Ivan Attard, resident organist directing.
