The Group The Guiding Light located at the Jesus of Nazareth Church in Xaghra proudly presents the 12th Edition of the Live Crib with this year’s theme “And the Word became flesh and dwelt amongst us” - “U l-Verb sar bniedem u ghammar fostna” (John1, 14)
The Group welcomes to it adolescents and youths united in their quest towards a spiritually guided life and has annually presented the Live Crib with the sole aim of delivering the message to Maltese and Gozitan families and all those who visit the Crib. This year, being proclaimed the Year of the Faith by H.H. Pope Benedict XVI, this Live Crib offers the visitors a unique experience to rediscover their faith in God. Since its first year the aim was to deliver the message of Christ to the world, focusing on the meaning of Christ’s birth rather than narrating the story.
As always, it is the Group’s aim to spread the joy of Christmas into our daily liyes through the Live Crib’s Christian message. For this 12th edition, one will notice structural differences from past presentations meant to help bring out this year’s theme and main messages. Characteristically, the Live Crib will showcase Jewish culture and traditions experienced in Christs’s time.
The Nativity scene is situated in front of the Church of Jesus of Nazareth in Xaghra, Gozo. Entrance is free and viewing dates are as follows:

· 25th December 2012 : 15:00 to 21:00
· 26th December 2012 : 18:00 to 21:00
· 28th December 2012 : 18:00 to 21:00
· 29th December 2012 : 18:00 to 21:00
· 30th December 2012 : 15:00 to 21:00
· 01st January 2013 : 15:00 to 21:00
