After Pontifical Mass in the Basilica, procession with the devout and artistic statue of St Joseph took place. Coming out of the Basilica it was met with a petard salute and the Victory Band, under the direction of Mro Joseph Galea LCM,then playing the Hymn to St Joseph composed by Mro Michael Farrugia.
FromPjazza Il-Vitorja, the procession moved round the main streets of Xaghra, Triq 28 t'April 1688, Pjazza Sant'Anton, Triq San Guzepp, Triq il-Knisja and Pjazza il-Vitorjawhere the Hymn was again played and then the statue moved back into the Basilica. Along the way, the faithful recited the Rosary while the band played religious marches. Archpriest Mgr Carmelo Refalo, the Collegiate Chapterand Clergy. Altar Boys and the three Confraternities took part in the procession. Back inside the Basilica, Benediction with the Holy Eucharist was imparted by Mgr Refalo bringing this year's feast to a successful end.
