The Parish Second Pilgrimage in Lent with the devout statue of Jesus Fallen under the Cross was held on Friday 23 March. This was originally scheduled to take place on Friday 9 March but was postponed due to stormy weather. After Mass at Nazzarenu Church, the pilgrimage left the Church to the Basilica, over a kilometre away, followed by a crowd of worshippers. Several persons with their faces covered followed the statue carrying crosses in votive accomplishment. Contrary to the previously scheduled date, which turned out to be stormy with gale force winds, this time the evening was very calm and mild. Passing through Triq Gnien Xibla and Triq it-Tigrija, the pilgrimage arrived in Pjazza il-Vitorja and entered the Basilica where Benediction with the Holy Eucharist was imparted.
