This year, the Pontifical Mass usually celebrated in the afternoon on the last day of the Feast of Gesu' Nazzarenu, Christ King of the Whole Universe, was held in the morning starting at 08:00. This was due to the opening of The Year of the Faith in the Diocese of Gozo which celebration was to be held later in the day, in the afternoon at Nazzarenu in Xaghra by H.L. Bishop of Gozo Mgr Mario Grech. Co celebrating with the Bishop were Mgr Archpriest Carmelo Refalo, the Rector of Nazzarenu Church Can Anthony Refalo Rapa and other members from the Collegiate Chapter and Clergy of the Parish. During Offerings, couples presented their babies and children to the Bishop. Mrs Lourdes Borg animated Mass while the Choir Maranatha directed by Mr Mario Xerri animated the singing. Fr Michael Curmi accompanied on the organ. The congregation was led by the Mayor of Xaghra accompanied by his spouse and two other Council members, Ms Maria Grima and Dr Kevin Cutajar LL.D.
