The Guiding Light Goup located at the Jesus of Nazareth Church in Xaghra, said that it is proud to present the 13th edition of the Live Crib “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” (Luke 2:10).
The group which welcomes adolescents and youths who are united in their quest towards a spiritually guided life, has taken up this initiative with the sole aim of delivering a message to all those who visit the Live Crib.
As the Catholic Church comes closer to closing off the year dedicated to faith, the Live Crib offers its visitors a unique experience where one can reflect to rediscover their faith in God. With its main aim having been from the very first day to deliver Christ’s message to the world, the live crib focuses on the meaning of Christ’s birth rather than narrating the Christmas story.
As always, it is the group’s aim to spread the joy of Christmas into our everyday lives through the Live Crib’s Christian message.
For this 13th edition visitors will notice structural differences in the Live Crib, which will help to bring out this year’s theme and main messages.
Characteristically, the Live Crib will showcase Jewish culture and traditions as experienced in Christ’s time.
The nativity scene is situated in front of the Church of Jesus of Nazareth in Xaghra Gozo. Entrance is free. It is worth mentioning that this was the first Live Crib to have been started in Gozo thirteen years ago.
