Of the twenty seven static cribs for public viewing in Xaghra, five are in the Basilica. The large static crib is the work of Mgr Anthony Refalo and Mr Victor Agius assisted by young lads Matthew Borg, Elvin Borg, Joshua Vella, Manuel Micallef, Nicholas Theuma and Samuel Xerri. The other four are those found on side altars. First one, on the altar of All Souls, is the work of Mr Marvic Muscat and is based on the anniversary of the 325th anniversary of the founding of the Parish. Next, on the altar of St Maurice is the crib made in Jablo by teenager Mr Charlon Said. On the altar dedicated to Jesus the Nazarene is found the crib made by Mr Fabio Azzopardi. On the altar of St Lawrence is exhibited the Neapolitan Crib, the work of Ms Beatrice Cini.
These may be viewed all the time that the Church is open.
