The Grupp Animaturi (Animators Group) of the parish held a meeting for engaged Xaghra couples attending a two year course in preparation for marriage under the auspices of the Diocesan Family Commission. The meeting took the form of a Lenten Retreat led by the said Animators Group together with Fr Michael Curmi. During the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, Fr Anton Teuma, dwelt upon Love between the Christian married couples which has to be built on the Love Jesus Christ showed towards us at his crucufiction.
After lunch, the couples present as well as animators approached the Crucifix lying on the floor and prayed in silence for some moments.
