His Lordship Mgr Mario Grech, Bishop of the Diocese of Gozo, is carrying out Pastoral Visits to all parishes in Gozo. Pontifical Mass on Sunday 16 November 2014 opened his Pastoral visit to Xaghra. This will be concluded on Sunday 14th December 2014. Archpriest Mgr Carmelo Refalo and Archpriest Emeritus Mgr Eucharist Sultana together with six members of the Collegiate Chapter co celebrated with His Lordship. Both in Archpriest's welcome address and in the Bishop's reply stress was made for the parishioners to make of this pastoral visit a success spiritually. During the coming fortnight, the Bishop will be meeting all sections of the community, religious, social and political. Besides that, every family and member of the community are at liberty to invite the Bishop to visit them personally at their homes. After Mass, contact with individuals immediately started by His Lordship accompanied by Archpriest Refalo standing in the main doorway so that all those wishing to introduce themselves could do it. Taking part in the liturgy during Mass were members involved in voluntary activities within the Parish. The Schola Cantorum Jubilate directed by Ms Marouska Attard animated the singing accompanied on the organ by Dr Joseph Camilleri. Ms Maria Attard was Mass animator.
