The Liturgical Feast of St Anthony the Abbot started with Mass for children celebrated by the Rector Can John Sultana. After Mass, the old statue of St Anthony the Abbot was taken in procession by the children, the statue carrued on a small pony drawn chariot. Games and drinks followed later in St Anthony Square. In the afternoon, at 17:00h, H.E. Archbishop Emeritus Mgr Paul Cremona was due to arrive at the Church to conduct Vespers and deliver Benediction with the Holy Eucharist. Mass celebrated by Xaghra Archpriest Mgr Carmelo Refalo will follow at 18:00h.
