Following a week of inclement weather, the feast of St Paul was successfully held in Marsalforn on a sunny Sunday 12th February. Celebrations in the Church started being held on 8th February, the first of three days of Triduum. On February 10, liturgical feast of the Shipwreck of St Paul was celebrated with solemn ceremonies in the Church. On February 11th, eve of the feast day, Pontifical Mass was celebrated at 6:00pm presided over by H.E. Archbishop Emeritus Mgr Paul Cremona O.P. Orchestra and Stella Maris Choir were under the direction of Mro Carmel P. Grech. On Sunday, festa day, Masses were celebrated in the morning, the one at 11:00 am again presided over by H.E. Archbishop Emeritus Mgr Paul Cremona O.P., Cini Band animating the singing. Vespers were held at 3:30pm led by Mgr Carmelo Refalo, Archpriest of Xaghra, Meantime, the Victory Band of Xaghra and Santa Maria Band of Zebbug Gozo were playing band marches along the streets of Marsalforn. Procession, led by Mgr Refalo started at 4:00pm along the main streets of Marsalforn. At 6:00pm Solemn Pontifical Mass was celebrated presided over by H.L. Bishop of Gozo, Mgr Mario Grech. Choir and Orchestra were under the direction of Mro Colin Attard. Festivities were organised by a Committee chaired by the Rector of St Paul's Church, Rev Can Michael Borg.
