Unique in the Maltese Islands for its originality and presentation, the children's Passion Pageant/Procession took place, as every year, on Palm Sunday. This is organised by the Vocational Centre. Those taking part will be mostly young children. Some teenagers from the Vocational Centre take part where it will be too much for very young. Even young soldiers on horseback (ponies) take part. It takes one hour, from 18:00hrs to 19:00hrs from the time it leaves the Basilica to the time returns. This serves as a nursery for the young to participate in the Good Friday Procession when they grow up.
