The efforts of the Ghaqda 'Il-Milied fix-Xaghra' to encourage school children build a crib for Christmas is having a positive impact on the young students. With the collaboration of the School staff headed by the Head, Mr Joseph Rapa, a very interesting exhibition of cribs is put up in the school foyer. Cribs made from a wide range of medium are on show. Most of the cribs are prepared by children on their own, others with the help of parents. The range is from simple paper mangers to highly sophisticated cribs. In the latter category, a crib presented by Clayton and Chantelle stands out. It is made from electric flex of various thickness and colours including the figurines. The exhibition is on show up to 22 December and is open during School hours and a visit is highly recommended. On Thursday 11th December, Year 6 students sang Christmas Carols in Victory Square. The weather was very unkind to them as it rained all the time and their courage and effort to raise funds for the Community Chest Fund did not meet their aspirations. Still, their effort in the face of adverse conditions is very much to be commended.
