After the Youth Games, it would be the children's turn to launch their activities for the Festa every year. On Sunday 31 August they gave a spectacle of singing, dancing, poem reading and participating in competitions for cards, dolls, banners, and bicycles, all centering on the Bambina and which they themselves would have made or decorated. There were thirty four items presented that evening consisting of individuals or groups taking part. All this was held in the open space by the Ta Kola Windmill. Many people turned up for the event. It was all children's affair until Mgr Carmelo Refalo went on stage, addressed the audience and congratulated the young participants. Finally he presented all those taking part with tokens and the competition winners with prizes for the first three places in each of the four categories.
