The Xaghra Parish altar boys will be very busy during the Easter Holidays. Besides organizing the Passion Procession on Palm Sunday similar to the one on Good Friday, they re-enacted the Last Supper at the Vocational Centre. The place itself is ideal with low arches and old stonework. It lasts only for seven minutes but gives a lot. Jesus with His disciples sitting on the floor looks sad. He blesses bread which He breaks up and hands to the disciples to eat. One of them hands pieces of bread to onlookers. This is followed by the scene taking place in the garden where Jesus was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea. Mary Magdalene arrives to find the huge stone which had closed the tomb moved aside and the tomb open. Looking inside she sees nothing but the linen which had shrouded the dead body of Jesus. She goes away to raise the alarm. John arrives with Peter and they confirm what Mary Magdalene had told them.
